Seniors Competition Looking to take your game to the next level? Find the event that is right for you, there are various opportunities to compete locally and nationally in competitions and leagues. Within Sussex we organise tournaments just for our members as well as hosting open events which attract players from all over the country. You can even travel outside the county to compete in the events run by others. Country Restricted The pinnacle of all events within Sussex. Hosted once a year around the end of September provides all eligible players to compete for the crown of county champion in all the five disciplines. Eligible players must meet one of the following criteria. Born in Sussex Live in Sussex School in Sussex Previously represented Sussex Previously lived within Sussex Tournament entry and results can be found on the Tournament Software website here. 3 Series + Starting as three locally run doubles tournaments the series has grown to include a fourth event in recent years. These events are open to players that compete within one of the many Sussex leagues. Held across the county the venues are based near Bognor Regis, Crawley, Brighton & Eastbourne. Format includes men’s, ladies and mixed doubles. Players also accumulate points which goes towards crowning an overall winner for each discipline at the final event in Eastbourne. 12th October 2025 – Littlehampton Badminton & Squash Club, Littlehampton 7th December 2025 – The Bridge Leisure Centre, Broadbridge Heath January 2026 – Portslade Sports Centre, Portslade April 2026 – Denton Road Sports Centre, Eastbourne Circuit Tournaments Part of the national tournament circuit sanctioned by Badminton England. These events provide the opportunity to compete against players from all over the country. Results will count towards national ranking and player gradings. There are currently four levels of event, entry conditions apply based on player grading per discipline. Tier 4 – Grade F or below Bronze – Grade D or below Silver – Grade B or below Gold – Open to all grades The county aims to provide opportunities in the first three tiers.
