Sad News – Mary Eddy Masters News by Jonny - 25th November 201925th November 20190 Sussex County Badminton Association were sad to learn that Mary Eddy (nee Bridge aged 73) passed away peacefully at her home in Birmingham with her husband and family on Saturday 16/11/2019 after a short illness. A National Junior Champion in 1964 with Lynn Veasey, Mary represented Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire first teams all with distinction. She was a County Badminton, Tennis and Squash player and will be sadly missed by her husband David (a former All England Champion), their three children John, Robert and Amy and their two grandchildren Mimi and Rudy. A cremation will be held at Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium, Streetsbrook Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 3NL at 1.30pm on Monday December 2nd 2019. This will be followed by a wake at Edgbaston Golf Club, Church Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 3TB at which all are most welcome.
